Spacious 4 person room, basic but clean and comfortable. Was just right for what we needed.
Unfortunately no kettle provided in the room but as we were only staying for 2 nights we were happy to use a saucepan instead - I'm sure the staff would have sorted if we had asked as they were very helpful. The area is noisy at night but you can close the windows & put on the air con to reduce this.

The view from the room. Correct and renovated bathroom, with shower, bath, sink, wc and vine. Comfortable mattress. Large flat TV
pillows were too low, making it very uncomfortable to sleep. Poor cleaning, in the 10 days we were there, they didn't clean the terrace, was the only place available to make the meals. Air conditioning did not cool the room and noise it made was unbearable, having to turn it off and sleeping with the terrace door open causing all the noise from outside to enter the room.. Scarce breakfast buffet and very small living room with no air conditioning on.. Concerning the treatment of the reception staff as well as the breakfast, to say that they were not exactly very nice.. Impossible to park. hotel did not have any free spaces and they cannot be booked in advance.. Elevators always busy, we had to go down and up the stairs half the time.

The studio is large, the kitchen is very good, low noise and no excessive heat (first floor), very large flat screen TV, the WiFi works perfectly. We were offered to park in the public car park in front of the hotel, for the same price, as the hotel car park was narrow. The temperature of the swimming pool is great. The comfortable beds. Very well located, there are supermarkets, attractions for children, restaurants of all kinds, pubs.. The new and well cared for furniture. Beach very close.
Poor security at the balcony door on the first floor. Doors are bidding and not going well. cleaning can be improved, they didn't sweep the studio in 3 days, we had to tell the reception. It would be advisable to leave a brush, dustpan and mop available in the room. There is no microwave, pots stick and they even burn the food. sofa bed is for a child, an adult does not fit. pool area needs to be refurbished. Few shadows, difficult to get a hammock (booked even though it is forbidden) and children's pool is not cleaned, dirty. Large swimming pool very damaged and very deep.

best thing is without a doubt the location, you have everything at hand and beach is just a step away.
In the first room they gave us there were cockroaches, we communicated it at night in reception and they wanted that while we were out having dinner they sent the maintenance man and fumigate. As it is logical we said to him that not, we were going with a baby and worse thing, since we are going to sleep in a closed place after fumigating! That night we slept with cockroaches and that was it. next morning we went downstairs to change our room and they told us that they were changing us because there was one available that if we didn't stay where we were, is something that usually happens. Finally they changed us but after this event we will not return, it had been our second year. Honestly we didn't pay 700 euros to have to change our room because we already had inhabitants in it and worst thing that happens to them is something that usually happens, it says a lot about them..

The location of the apartment is excellent, just a short walk to many restaurants and bars. I was pleasantly surprised by the spacious and clean room that had a nice balcony view. The bed was comfortable, which helped me sleep well. The staff I interacted with were polite and very helpful during my stay. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast, which offered a variety of options and had a lovely outdoor seating area.

The food was nice and there were a huge variety of dishes in the menu. The rooms were brand-new and great-sized with separate bathrooms. Easy access to Malaga airport, which was about 23 minutes' drive away.
Well, no assistance.

We stayed in room 929 and had excellent beach views from the balcony. The studio room was large and cleaned every day. The bathroom appeared to have been recently refurbished and was in good condition. The swimming pool was heated so the water was lovely and warm. The snack bar was nice with a selection of tapas at reasonable prices. We were allowed a late check-out on our last day as our flight wasn't until the evening.
The staff on reception were not friendly. We had to wait several minutes on arrival before the receptionist looked up from her computer terminal to check us in. Although everything in the studio worked, the furniture and fittings were scruffy and tatty. The hotel was acceptable as we wanted a short stay very central, not sure if we'd have enjoyed a long holiday there.

The cleanliness and staff and location. 5 minutes walk from the train station.
The noise from the late night bars into the early hours!!!! But then that's not the hotel's fault!

The heated pool was a highlight, making our stay enjoyable despite noisy neighbors disrupting our sleep at night.

I have been several times before at Pyr during the 1980's and 1990's. I had a nice studio, where I could do a lot of work with the sea as a background view. I will return to Pyr when next time in Fuengirola.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Apartmentos Pyr Fuengirola where we stayed for 6 nights from March 27th to April 2nd. Location is excellent near the beach and close to very many nice restaurants. We stayed in a studio apartment which was quite spacious. The only complaint I would have would be that the pool and toilet facilities at this area need upgrading. While the pool itself was heated and lovely to use the general area was outdated.
